Helping Hands/Student Council

Participation in Macomb Academy Helping Hands gives students valuable experiences in leadership and community service. As a student-lead community action group, students learn the importance of good citizenship and social outreach.

Students elect officers and conduct meetings several times throughout the year with the assistance of a staff advisor.

Meetings take place during the school day and may lead to social or community volunteer activities outside of regular school hours.

Dear Parents, Guardians, Students, and Staff of Macomb Academy,

The Board of Trustees has promised updates to keep you informed about Macomb Academy. We are now hopeful that the school may continue its operations for this coming school year.

Thanks to the tremendous support we have received, we are working with CMU, financial institutions, and other advisors who have stepped forward to help us develop a plan to provide a program for the 2018–2019 year.

We are planning on having another update by Tuesday, August 21, 2018. In the meantime, if there are any questions you may have, please contact our advisor Mr. George Butler at (248) 321.2108.
